Christmas at the Cuisle Centre
With Christmas now less than a month away the celebrations and festivities have already started in Ranelagh Village. This was all kicked off by the inauguration of the Christmas tree last Sunday evening, the 26 November. This is an event that the Ranelagh Community looks forward to each year.
The children and youth of Ranelagh Seventh-day Adventist Church made their way up to the Triangle outside the local Spar at the heart of Ranelagh Village. There they were greeted by a crowd of jolly spirits. Children, mums and dads, aunties and uncles, grandparents from Ranelagh community all gathered, waiting in anticipation for the lighting of the Christmas tree. While they waited, they had great fun watching and joining in with some of the performances.
Three of these performances where given by the children and youth of the Ranelagh Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Harp of David Children’s Choir brought a lot of smiles to many faces with their melodious voices as they sang ‘Ring The Bells’. There was a solo performance by Chloe McKenna who warmed all our hearts with a beautiful rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’. The Youth Group witnessed to the crowd singing ‘Do you Wanna Be Happy’ and their message was well received.
The Ranelagh Cuisle Centre provided healthy Christmas treats and refreshments, and one of our members Joan Burch said a few short words about the services the Cuisle Centre provides for the community before inviting the crowd to enjoy the treats and festivities with us back at the church. There was a great turn out of approximately 50 members of the community came to enjoy the refreshments.
It was a lovely evening and we hope that we were able to touch many hearts and form lasting relationships with the Ranelagh Community.
